Because of various working commitments, I have eaten far too much take away food recently, which has unfortunately included far far far too much fish and chips.
This unfortunately goes down as the worst of the dying English chip shops that I visited.
It was everything I remember from my childhood, all of which is not good. The counter had a glass cabinet to keep food warm, but I really wonder just how long the battered sausages and pies had been sat there under the glare of some very unflattering lighting.
If you're tempted to go for some fish and chips, I'd look elsewhere. -

I used to be a regular customer in the past, They used to be nice honest people that made nice tasting food at a fair price. over a period of time the portions got smaller but it was understandable due to economic times, and then the food its self started going down hill to below average standards and the price was raised. And then came the age where staff are constantly trying to pressure sell you in to buying more food, on top of that you have to watch them all the time, you ask for regular size, and they try to make your selections large without telling you, for the extra price too hoping you don't notice....Especially on a Saturday night when they suspect every customer that comes in is drunk (however I don't drink). I am very disappointed. sub standard food, completely unethical service. and all with a fake smile. Highly un-recommended.
